Dosage

• For extemporaneous use only
• Common dosage range: 400 mg - 2000 mg daily; can be taken with or without food
• May require stirring or ingredient combinations to assist solubility
• It is advisable to begin supplementation at the low end of the dose range, increasing if required

Warnings

• L-Tyrosine has not been extensively tested for its effects during pregnancy
• Avoid use during pregnancy or lactation, unless confident that its impact can be reasonably deemed to be safe or beneficial
• Due to potentially impaired metabolism, caution supplementing in those taking MAOI medications
• When improving natural thyroid hormone production through tyrosine supplementation, any doses of exogenous Thyroxine administration may need to be adjusted
• Practitioners should conduct ongoing research and take care to follow their practitioner association guidelines for appropriate administration of compounding ingredients
• Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet
